THE KEY OF THE APOCALYPSE

THE CHRIST UNMASKS THE ANTICHRIST

by Peter II

DEDICATED TO

JESUS THE LIVING MESSIA
BACK AMONGST US

On May 13th, 1970

Jesus revealed the secret
of the Apocalypse (Revelation)
in Lebanon.

"Come with Me from Lebanon,
my promised bride,
come with Me from Lebanon…"
(Song of Solomon 4, 8).

"Is it not yet a very little while,
and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest ?
In that day shall the deaf hear the words of the Book,
And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity,
And out of darkness…
For the terrible one is brought to nought,
And the scorner is consumed"
(Isaiah 29, 17-20).

INTRODUCTION [Return]

The Apocalypse, or the book of St. John's Revelation, is a prophetical Book related to the events and protagonists of the XXth century. This tumultuous historical period is about the return and the final destruction of a "Beast" : the Antichrist, the eve of Christ's Return

This Book was revealed to John, the Apostle of Jesus, in symbols, in 95 A.D. It is a "closed Book, sealed by seven seals" (Revelation 5, 1). This means that its secret is perfectly kept. No man can succeed in discovering its mystery by a personal effort (Rev 5, 3). Only Jesus can explain its symbols, He alone has the key of the interpretation of its enigmas (Rev 5, 5-7). He will send His messenger with this "little Book open" (Rev 10, 1-2) in order to reveal the meaning of its symbols when the prophecies included therein will be accomplished (Rev 22, 10/ 22, 16).

This interpretation of the Book of Revelation is not the result of a personnal effort. It would have no value. It is the consequence of an upsetting revelation Jesus Himself did to a Lebanese priest. He revealed to him the unsuspected identity of "the Beast" mentioned in chapter 13 of this holy Book, in order to inform all men of good faith, all the true believers.

The Apocalypse predicts the return of this "Beast" which existed already in the past (Ap 17, 8).

But Jesus also returns to unmask and destroy the Beast, and to restore God's Kingdom (Rev 1,7/ Rev 22, 20).

This "Beast" is the Antichrist mentioned by the same John in his letters (1 Jn 2, 22/ 2 Jn 7). The revelation of its identity is the Key which opens the sealed "Little Book" of Revelation because, by deduction, it explains all the apocalyptical symbols.

The author of these pages is the priest to whom Jesus entrusted this Key. The revelation of this message caused underhand persecutions and threats from many Lebanese Christians, bishops, priests and laymen at the Beast's service. Seduced by its approaches and fearing its power, they prefered serving it. By doing so, they sacrified their noble Mission : testifying for Jesus (Mat 24, 10-12).

The priest entrusted with the apocalyptical Mission had to break all links with the Church because of its commitment in favour of the Beast. Peter, Jesus's apostle, acted likewise in the past against the Synagogue in order "to obey to God rather than to men" (Acts 5, 27-29). This was a moral liberation and a spiritual restauration for the priest as well as for those who believed in his Message. They decided "to judge for themselves what is right", as Jesus asks his disciples to do (Luke 12, 56-57). These pioneers of the spiritual liberation are from various religions and conditions. By their belief in the Apocalyptical Message, the genuine love and firm unity which reign amongst them, they triggered off the Universal Restauration prophesied by Peter (Acts 3, 20-21).

This liberation transformed them into Independant Believers and authentic witnesses of the one and only true Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth..

CHAPTER I

THE KEY ENIGMA [Return]

The Apocalypse contains an enigma : a mysterious Beast is mentioned in chapter 13 : "I saw a Beast emerge from the sea: it had seven heads and ten horns... etc...", said St.John.

Who is this Beast? This is the main apocalyptical enigma that men are urged to find out. Only the wise and witty ones will be able to do so:

"This is where wisdom stands. Let the witty one interpret (discover) the number of the Beast. It is a human number. Its number is 666" (Ap.13,18).

This main enigma is the Key to all the apocalyptical enigmas. By discovering it, all the other symbols become clear by simple deduction.

Apocalypse comes from Greek, the language in which this book has been originally written. The book starts with the word "Apocalypse", which gave its name to the book. In Greek, "calypse" means to cover, and "apocalypse", to un-cover, to un-mask, to reveal what's hidden.

What's hidden in the Apocalypse is the identity of the Beast. For twenty centuries - since the Apocalypse was revealed to John in the year 95 A.D. - many have tried to uncover its mystery. But all these human efforts remained fruitless. Finally, on May 13th, 1970, Jesus Himself unveiled the apocalyptical enigma. Before this date, some thought that the Beast was the Roman Empire, others said it was the Devil, or Communism, or Hitler or the nuclear bomb. But none of these responded to the descriptions the Apocalypse gives of the Beast. For no man can find out who the Beast really is. The Apocalypse tells us itself that "no one in Heaven nor on Earth" is able to understand its mystery by a personal effort, Jesus alone having this power. St.John says :

"I saw in the right hand of the One (God) sitting on the throne a scroll (a book) that was sealed with seven seals (totally secret). Then I saw a powerful angel who called with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals? But there was no one, in Heaven or on earth or under the earth, who was able to open the scroll and read it (understand it). I (John) wept bitterly because nobody could be found to open the scroll and read it (for twenty centuries nobody could explain the Apocalypse). But one of the olders said to me: Do not weep. Look, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David (Jesus) has triumphed, and so He will open (interpret) the scroll with the seven seals" (Ap.5,1-5).

Jesus alone can, therefor, reveal the apocalyptical secret. This is why this Book was sealed with seven seals. In the prophetical language, the number "seven" is the symbol of perfection. This means that the secret is perfectly kept (see Isaiah 29,11).

The Apocalypse also informs us on one important fact : Jesus "opens the book" (explains it) by revealing its secret to a special messenger. S.John saw this man coming to the world as an "Angel holding in his hand a small book open", or a "small scroll unrolled". John said: "I saw a powerful angel coming down from Heaven... In his hand he had a small scroll unrolled" (Ap.10,1-2). This "small unrolled scroll (or open book)" is the one God held closed, since it was "sealed with seven seals". Here it is now, "open", "unrolled", in the angel's hand, because it is explained and accessible to the humain mind. The Apocalypse, in fact, in volume, is but a "small Book". The words "coming down from Heaven" mean that the explanation of the Book comes down from heaven.

In the prophetical language, "angel" means messenger, a simple man. Thus, writing to the chiefs of the seven Churches, Jesus asks John to : "Write to the angel of the Church in Ephesus (Ap.2,1)... Write to the angel of the Church in Smyrna... (Ap.2,8)... etc...". These "angels" are men.

Jesus sends his messenger to explain the contents of the Apocalypse: "I, Jesus, have sent my angel (messenger) to attest these things to you in the Churches" (Ap.22,16).

We therefore have two apocalyptical messengers, S.John and the "angel" sent after him. John received the apocalyptical message in incomprehensible symbols, and the Lord explicitly asked him not to clarify them: "Keep secret the words of the Seven Thunders (the words of the Apocalypse) and do not write them down (don't explain them)" (Ap.10,4). Nineteen centuries later, when the Beast appeared, Jesus also appeared to explain the Apocalypse, and sent his second messenger with the precise opposite order to explain the apocalyptical enigmas: "Do not keep secret the prophecies in this book, because the Time (of Christ's Return) is close (the Beast having appeared)" (Ap.22,10).

My duty, in conscience, is therefor to inform faithfully and publically the reasons which made me publish this message.

A piece of advice:

It is not enough to read this text then to comment it favourably or unfavourably. One must refer to the text of the Book of Revelation. It's a small Book, not long to read…and read over again, several times, opening one's heart to evidence and Truth.

CHAPTER II

HOW JESUS REVEALED THE ENIGMA [Return]

On May 13th, 1970, Jesus appeared to me in Beirut (Lebanon), to reveal to me the identity of the Beast mentioned in chapter 13 of the Book of Revelation. But before this beweldering vision - during long years - many other visions prepared me to this upsetting revelation. The most important are the following :

1 - Jesus appeared to me in 1968. He asked me :

"I have a secret to reveal to you that will raise many enemies against you :

For my sake, do you accept?". I answered: "Yes". He hugged me tenderly, then disappeared.

2 - Few months later, He appeared again and said : "But first, I want to know if you are fanatic". At the moment, I did not know what to answer. I finally stammered timidly : "If being fanatic is to believe in You blindly, this is not the case. I know why I believe in You". He stared at me, made no answer, then disappeared. Years later, however, I understood that Jesus referred particularly to the fanatism of the majority of Christians toward Islam and Muslims.

3 - Few months later, Jesus told me: "Many Christians will refuse my biblical prophecies. They pretend to believe in the Bible, but they give It no attention. And you will make the masks fall". I didn't understand, at the moment, what Jesus meant.

4 - On the 28th of April 28,1969, the Lord told me : "Tell them that whoever will say : - Holy, Holy, Holy is the Almighty God, blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord - will see in his soul the One who will reveal the truth". (see Isaiah 6,3 and Matthew 21,9)

5 - On the 4th of May,1969, I was in the Convent of the Holy Saviour, near Sidon, South Lebanon. I had the following vision : The Bible was open at chapter 10 of the Book of Revelation and the following verse clearly emerged in French:

"You must prophesy AGAIN against many peoples, nations, languages and kings" (Rev.10,11).

The word "AGAIN" appeared in capital letters twinkling brilliantly with the bears of my heart, as if they were linked to it. Then, a powerful right arm of light appeared with its index pointing on my chest, and I heard a very powerful voice telling me : "This mission is entrusted to you !" At the same moment, I hearing the phone ringing. The Voice told me : "This phone call is for you ; they they are asking about you from Beirut. Let this be a sign that it is I who am speaking to you". However, I did not answer the phone, being only a host in this Convent. One of the monks was supposed to do so. The phone went on ringing for sometime.

I knew nothing about this Book of Revelation ! I had only read it twice, long ago, without understanding it. I had kept nothing of its contents at did not feal at all attrackted by it. It belonged to some other biblical scientist to explain it. I felt fully satisfied with the other Books of the Bible, with the prophecies about the Messiah, the Gospel and the clear words of Jesus therein. As most people, including most of the clergy, I did not feel at all attracted towards it because of the mysterious symbols rherein that discourage most of its readers.

Yet, I was deeply impressed by this vision. I immediately opened chapter ten of the Revelation. I was deeply moved when I found this apocalyptical verse in the Bible, at the same place I had just seen it in the vision. The only differencewas that the word "again" was not in capital letters. I did not know what to think : "It is perhaps the devil who wants me to think that I'm someone important". I felt afraid. I took my rosary and addressed myself to the Virgin : "You are my Mother ; enlighten me". Then I hurried to the garden to pray the Rosary.

As I was passing through the door, the porter called me : "Father, where were you ? Why did you not answer the phone? Somebody asked about you from Beirut" ! I felt shocked by the porter's intervention; I answered that it was a monk's business to answer, not mine. I wondered if this phone could, in fact, be a sign that the vision was a heavenly one.

At the time, I was not aware why we should "prophecy again against…".

This vision was my first deep contact with this "small Book". Yet, it left me completly detached from it and firmly decided to ignore it.

6 - On April 19th,1970, Jesus asked me :

"Why did I send Mary, our Mother, to appear in Fatima and not elsewhere? If you have wisdom, answer me". I did not know what to answer and felt embarrassed. After a moment of reflection, I confessed humbly : "I don't know".

Jesus said again very gently : "Think again". Seing that I was desperatly searching for an answer, He replied Himself : "To baptise her".

To baptise Fatima ?! That's the name of the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad. Could this mean the conversion of the Muslim world ?

But "Fatima" is also a Portuguese village where the Blessed Virgin appeared in 1917, to give an important message which remains secret up to now, in spite of the fact that the Virgin asked the Vatican to reveal it in 1960. This "Secret of Fatima", unrevealed by the Popes, and the secret of the Apocalypse are the same. The name of the village derives from "Fatima", the daughter of a muslim Emir (Prince). She got baptised in Portugal in the 12th century, during the Christian "Riconquista" of Spain and Portugal. Her Christian husband, Prince Gonzalo Herminguez, gave her name to this village where the Holy Virgin chose to appear. Fatima is also the name of the prophet Mohammed's daughter, particularly venerated by the Shiite Muslims who consider Her as the "Mother of Muslim Shiites". She therefor represents the faithful Muslims, particularly the Shiites, who are dear to God because of their legal struggle against the "Beast". This struggle is in itself the Baptism of Fatima. Our Mother Mary appeared in Fatima for the whole world to understand that this Islamic commitment against Israel is blessed by Heaven. The Christians themselves should pass through this Baptism in order to be saved. One must of course differentiate between these true Muslims and the fanatical fundamentalist movements, disapproved by the genuine Islam..

7 - On May 12th, 1970, The Lord appeared to me in Beirut, looking toward the south with great anger in his eyes, his chest was large and rounded, he held his face up and his head high. He said in Arabic: "I will not fail to reveal your horrors, O Israel" !.

8 - On May 13th, 1970, Jesus finally revealed the secret of the Apocalypse during a short vision. Appearing to me at dawn in shape of a human bright Light, He said:

"Today is May 13, the day Our Lady appeared in Fatima (in 1917). Open chapter 13 of the Apocalypse: THE BEAST IS ISRAEL !".

After having thus entrusted to me the Key of the apocalyptical mysteries, Jesus disappeared. I was all alone and felt myself all alone facing this terrible revelation…especially that I was, then, for Israel.

The Beast is Israel ?! My God ! What a word !!

While Jesus was speaking to me, infernal inner screams tried to prevent me from hearing His words which, nevertheless, could reach me. However, this satanical intervention suddenly stopped when Jesus began to say, and this I heard very clearly every word of it in French : "Open chapter 13 of the Apocalypse : The Beast is Israel. This vision lasted just a minute ; yet it put my whole life up side down…Like Paul on his road to Damascus.

After the vision, I got up stunned. I opened this chapter 13 of the Revelation, hoping not to find any beast mentioned therein, also because I had sympathy and admiration for this State which I used to consider as an invincible saviour from the Islamic "danger". I was deeply shocked to find, effectively, "a Beast with seven heads and ten horns", which was given an "immense authority... It had a fatal wound but had healed from this deadly injury and the whole word marvelled and followed the Beast..." (13,3), judging that no one could oppose it: "Who can compare with the Beast? Who can fight against it?" all said (13,4). Only God's chosen ones will resist it, those whose names are "written down in the Book of life of the slain Lamb (Jésus)" (13,8). On the spot I realised that Israel has such "immense power", that I was one of its seduced admirers, that the Beast's "fatal wound" applied to the previous destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., and, of course, to the Hitlerian holocaust. The great majority of peoples and nations - amongst which myself - are obviously seduced by Israel, estimating that none can fight against this State. Only Fatima's children, the Muslims, resist against it.

Further, in the same chapter, I read that there is a "second Beast... making the world and all its people worship the first Beast whose deadly injury had healed... etc" (13,11-17). I here concluded that, the first Beast being Israel, the second Beast who supports it can only be the powerful U.S.A. who protect and arm Israel. I then understood who are the "many enemies that the secret will attract against me" and who were "the many peoples, nations, languages and kings against whom I had to prophesy AGAIN", since testimony against Israel, today, is not being practised anymore, as the prophets and Jesus did in the past. It had to be done AGAIN. (See Isaia 1,2-4/ Jeremiah 2,26-37/ Micah 3,9-14/ Mat 23,33-37/ John 8,44).

I felt deeply bewildered after this revelation ; fear threatened me. In front of such precise prophetical details, I felt the divine authenticity of the Message and its importance. But why should all this be said to me ? I am powerless against such foe ! An impression of seriousness surrounded me. I felt the intense need of praying, deeply and a lot.

A struggle of thoughts took place then within me : "I am a priest and, as such, I have no right to get mixed up in politics", I told myself. Yet, on the other hand, I realised that the Israeli phenomenon was not restricted to politics since Israel refuses to recognise that Jesus is the Messiah and that, in spite of the annulment of the Old Covenant (Jeremiah 31,31-32), Israel still claims to have a divine right on Palestine as being the "Promised Land" for the Jews.

I thus understood that to recognise any biblical right to Israel is betraying Jesus and testifying against his spiritual and universal Message. The problem was -without any doubt - of a highly spiritual dimension. It needs discernment and subtlety to discover it : "There is need for shrewdness here", says the Apocalypse, "The one who has understanding will interpret the number of the Beast : It is a human number ; and its number is 666" (Rev. 13,18).

Thus was given to me the Key of the Apocalypse. I am now asked to explain this Holy Book which remained mysterious for so long. But again, one must have, as the Apocalypse says, "shrewdness", wisdom and wit to accept this Divine Revelation, so clear and so simple. One must also have faith and courage to go, again, against the pro-Israeli commitment "of many peoples, nations, languages and kings".

All these thoughts embarrassed me a lot because of the powerful and dangerous opposite current. I thus understood that this was the dangerous secret Jesus had to reveal to me, and which would attract many enemies against me. In my heart, I heard Him asking me again : "For my sake, do you accept ?" I then reconfirmed my acceptance to go on with this Mission, realizing, fully this time, why I had "to prophesy again against many nations…etc".

People of my surrounding, even my own family, to whom I spoke about this matter, turned against me, especially my own family. This confirmed Jesus's warning to his apostles : "One's enemies will be the members of his own household" (Mat 10,36).

I did not realize then that these difficulties were only the beginning of a long stuggle. Indeed, hatred increased against me when the Lord told me in, Arabic, on May 15, 1970 :

"Beware ! Don't you stain your hands with the blood of the Palestinian : I and him are one ! I am, like him, rejected by the Israelis ". Then drawing to Him a man, He added : "Don't you see the resemblance?" Both faces, in fact, looked perfacly alike.

Since then, I began to read over and over again the Book of Revelation with a new interest at the Light of this new revelation. As I went on reading and progressing in doing so, the mysterious symbols became clear one after the other. I thus understood, among other points, and not without stupefaction, that "the new name" of Jesus today is "Palestinian" : "Anyone who proves victorious,… I will inscribe on him the Name of my God…and my new name ", said Jesus (Rev 3,12). This will be a scandal to "many nations, countries, and kings", including Christians and religious leaders.

On Pentecost Sunday, May 17th of the same year, I was invited by Palestinian members of my parrish to a display of the Palestinian painter Ismail Shammout.I accepted the invitation to do my first step in the Palestinian world which I then ignored totally. When I went there, I was deeply struck by a painting : A Palestinian "Fedayi" stood there proud and strong. His chest is nacked, powerful, large and rounded, his eyes are blazing with purity and justice. He is standing with pride and anger, his hands tied behind his back, and light reflects on his face and chest. He is surrounded by Israeli soldiers, standing in the dark around him. Their arms are fearfully aimed at him. They have a mean appearance.

Everything is paradoxical in this painting : He is the prisoner, yet he looks victorious; they think that they are victorious, yet they seem defeated ; he is the judge and they are condemned. I stared at the man's face for a long time : It was the face of Jesus when I saw Him staring towards the South with anger, threatening Israel. It's also the same face I had seen near His own and identical to His. While I was standing there, I heard the Master saying : "And thus stood I in front of the High Priest when, defying Me, he asked if I was the Messiah, the Son of God. I answered affirmatively, with strength and certainty, as in this painting. He became red with anger with the rest of the Sanhedrin and they condemned Me to death".

I immediatly wanted to know more about this painting. The painter explained :This man represents Mahmoud Hejazi, the first Fedayi who has been imprisoned. He is still actually in prison in Palestine in the Israeli prisons".

Two years later God gratified me by meeting Mahmoud who had just come out of prison. We warmfully embraced and this reminded me the warmful embrace of Jesus when I had accepted the revelation of the secret in spite of the persecutions it entailed.

Again, on May 20th, 1970, Jesus told me : "Yes, the Palestinian is the stumbling block" !

Before the intervention of Jesus, I was totally unaware of the Palestinian drama ; but since then my interest was awoken and I wanted to get to know this people and to understand the deep meaning of their sorrow and their painful scream. I thus learned to love them, as tehy were, because of the great injustice that has been done to them and which identifies them to Jesus.

Many other divine initiatives helped me to understand the apocalyptical Message that I am asked to reveal today. What has already been stated is sufficient for any person of good will who desires to have precise information on the facts. I thus hope to contribute in offering the readers to understand the situation spiritually, as revealed by Jesus, and not to interpret it politically according to the human point of view of men and the complicity of the various medias.

This is how the "Key" of the Apocalypse was entrusted to me. I must now explain this "Small Book" which remained mysterious for so long. But again one must have "shrewdness" to admit this Divine Revelation which is so evident and so simple. One must also have faith, the love of truth and justice as well as a great courage to resist the opposite strong pro-Israeli current of "many nations and countries and kings".

With this "Key", one can finally break the "7 seals" and understand all the apocalyptical symbolism of the Book of Revelation. For this Book was not given to remain secret or misunderstood. It would be of no practical value. When the Time announced by the Apocalypse arrived, Jesus revealed the mystery to save men of good will, of all nations, races and creads - and the Jews themselves - from the spell of Israel.

Finally, it is of utmost importance to underline two important facts which, sooner or later, will have to be admitted by everyone :

The Book of Revelation, this obscure Book, has not been given to us to remain vague and misunderstood. It would have, for the spiritual Life, neither a practical nor a salutary use.

The interpretation of this small Book cannot be the result of a strictly human effort ; it can only come to us by the same Way its symbols were given to us by divine Revelation as explained further (Rev 5,1-5).

Therefor, I don't want to appear as one of those who offer still another personal interpretation of the Apocalypse. I am asked to inform and to be a faithful witness of a Divine Revelation.

Finally, Jesus told me what waspreviously said to the prophet Ezekiel :

"Speak out and reveal these things to my people. Whether they listen or not, you speak" (Ez 2).

CHAPTER III

PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK [Return]

The Apocalypse contains the prophecies concerning the return and the fall of Israel. This State will never reappear again. It's the end of its time. That's what Jesus meant by the "end of the times of the pagans" (Luke 21,24), known as the "end of times", meaning the end of the time of the Antichrist, and according to St.Paul, the end of "the mystery of impiety in action" (2 Thess.2,7). Jesus revealed the Apocalypse to John to warn his servants. Today, these "servants"are those who believe its actual Message. In fact, this Book starts thus:

"Revelation (Apocalypse) of Jesus-Christ, God gave it to Him (to Jesus) to show his servants (the believers) what is to take place soon. He (Jesus) sent His angel to make it known to John His servant (Ap.1,1)... Blessed are those who read and those who listen to this prophecy, if they treasure its content, for the time is near" (Ap.1,3).

Like many Christians, St.John was exiled on the island of Patmos in 95 A.D., by the emperor Domitien. It's on this island that he received his numerous apocalyptical visions:

"I, John,... I was on the island of Patmos because of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus" (Ap.1,9).

He reveals twice having received from Christ the order to write down his visions in a book: "Write down your visions in a book and send it to the seven churches" (Ap.1,11). "Write down all your visions, the present and what is to happen later" (Ap.1,19). The book that John wrote is the Book of the Apocalypse. We notice that it speaks of two different periods: "the present" and then "what is to happen later". This second period concerns a particular time in the future.

Thus, this Book, composed of 22 chapters, is divided into two well defined parts : A first part concerning John's period, "the present", and a second part concerning a future period, "what is to happen later". The mission of the second apocalyptical messenger is specific : to explain the prophecies concerning the second period, the future, which is now actual.

The first part.

It is composed of chapters 1 to 3 and is addressed to the seven main Churches of Asia Minor (Turkey) founded by John. It contains exhortations to faith.

This part, unlike the second one, is well structured. We find a systematic and logical organisation of the text which is rather understandable. We shall not stop at these three chapters which are not the purpose of our study.

The second part.

It goes from chapters 4 to 22. It is distinctly separated from the first part and starts thus: "Then I had the following vision: A door was open in Heaven... and the same Voice told me : Come up here: I will show you what is to take place in the future" (Rev 4,1). This part is therefor about the future events already mentioned in Rev 1,19.

Some people think that the chapters of the second part, like those of the first one, apply to all times and places and that they speak about the struggle against evil in general. That's not the case since God stigmatises a particular time, future to John, and a precise place, Palestine, as shown in the verses below:

1 - "Revelation of Jesus-Christ: God gave it to Him to show His servants what will soon happen" (Rev 1,1).

2 - "Write your visions, the present and what will happen later (the return of the Beast)" (Ap.1,19).

3 - "Come up here: I will show you what is to happen in the future (the return of the Beast)" (Rev 4,1).

4 - "An angel (Jesus)... with a chain in his hand... bound the Devil for one thousand years... and shut him up in the bottomless pit... till the thousand years are fulfilled. After that he must be released, but only for a short while" (Rev 20,1- 3). "When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to lead astray the nations..." (Rev 20,7).

5 - "This Beast was, it is no more and it will come out from the Abyss, but only to go to its destruction" (Rev 17,8). Three importants clues must be noted here:

a - The Beast existed in the past ("it was"), before the Apocalypse was written.

b - The Beast exists no more when John wrote the Apocalypse ("it is no more") ; we therefor cannot say that the Beast is Evil in general, because this exists always. Neither can this be applied to the Roman Empire, as some believe, as it still existed in 95 A.D.

c - The Beast returns after John, since "it will come out from the Abyss". Its return coincides with the liberation of Satan (20,7). They both come out from the Abyss at the same time (11,7/ 20,1-3). What is to take place later is, therefor, the return of the Beast with the liberation of Satan from the Abyss.

6 - "Seven angels bringing the last seven plagues that are the last of all because they exhaust God's anger (against the Beast)" (Ap.15,1). It's the end of the Beast.

7 - "Ten kings who have not yet been given their royal power" (Ap.17,12).

8 - " Four angels at the Great River Euphrates (Iraq), ready for the hour, the day, the month, the year..." (Rev 9,15). This prophecy aims at a precise historical moment and place : the international war against Iraq, on the river Euphrates. Indeed, in 1990, the U.S.A, headed by George W. Bush Sr, and their international allies threatened Irak to interfere by military means against it fixing a date limit: midnight (the hour), 16th (the day), January (the month), 1991 (the year). This threat was effectively applied as scheduled: after midnight of the fixed day. The international war against this Country which lies on the "Great River Euphrates" - a war which is still going on today - is an evident apocalyptical sign for all those who have a prophetical mind. It is the unique war in world History which has been previously fixed, with precision, to "the hour, the day, the month and the year" (Rev 9,15). It's a loud apocalyptical trumpet only the deaf cannot hear.

In order to underline the importance of this event, the Apocalypse mentions twice the Great River Euphrates : "The sixth angel poured out his vial on the Great River Euphrates..." (16,12). This second apocalyptical mention of the Euphrates refers to the second war against Irak, on the Euphrate which started on March 19, 2003. These two wars were set off by two U.S. Presidents, the father and his son both bearing the same name: George W. Bush Sr (father) and George W. Bush Jr (son).

The first, George W. Bush Sr, figures among these "10 kings at the service of the Beast but who had not yet received the kingdom" at the time of St John (Rev 17,12). He is the nineth on the list (see following chapter on the "ten Kings"). His son, George W. Bush Jr - whose name is providentially the same as his father's - is therefore the eleventh king. Yet he is part of the ten kings (same name as one of them) because he has the ambition to finish the work of his father. He is therefore one of these "ten kings" (or presidents). This reminds us of the 8th king of the Beast which is said to be "one of the seven" because he has the ambition to finish the work of the seven who came before him (Rev 17,10-11).

Thus, the second war against Irak fulfils the second prophecy concerning the Euphrates (Rev 9,14 and 16,12). This is the beginning of the Harmagedon war (Rev 16,16). The expected passage of the kings of the East through the Euphrates will only be understood when this prophecy will be fulfilled (Rev 16,12).

9 - "The Lord God who inspires his prophets sent his angel to show his servants the things which shall soon happen. I (Jesus) am returning soon" (22,6-7). All these events are evidently the signs of the time of Jesus's Return.

10 - The three following verses indicate that the apocalyptical events have a spiritual meaning: this is the final battle between Jesus Christ and his servants on one side, and the Antichrist and his servants on the other. This decisive battle takes place in a precise geographical locality : Palestine, and particularly Jerusalem:

a - "The pagans will trample on the Holy City (Jerusalem) for forty-two months".

b- "…the Beast that comes out of the Abyss will make war against them, overcome them and kill them. Their corpses lie in the main street of the Great City…in which their Lord was also crucified (11,7-8). Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem.

c- "When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison, and will

come out to lead astray all the nations... He will gather them... over the entire country (Palestine) and besiege the Camp of Saints, the Beloved City (Jerusalem)" (20,7-9).

The "Beast" is the Antichrist [Return]

All Biblical scholars admit that the "Beast" is the Antichrist of whom John wrote, and the "Wicked One", "the Enemy" (Christ's enemy : the Antichrist) Paul spoke about (2 Thess 2,3-4). He is dew to appear the eve of Jesus Christ's Return. John says : "Who is the liar, if not the one who claims that Jesus is not the Christ ? This is the Antichrist !" (1 John 2,22).

Only the Israelis claim that Jesus is not the Messiah and await another. Islam testifies that "Issa (Jesus), the Son of Mary" is the Messiah. Moreover, the Coran reveals that He is the "Word of God " and "the Spirit of God" (Coran III; The Family of Imran, 45).

Paul said : "About the Coming (the Return) of our Lord Jesus Christ…this cannot happen before the great revolt has taken place and there has appeared the Wicked One , the Enemy (Antichrist). Surely you remember my telling you about this when I was with you"(2 Thess 2,1-5).

The apocalyptical times are recognizable by the return of the Beast in Palestine, up to the very heart of Jerusalem. That's where the Antichrist leads his war against the Christ. Jesus will detroy this enemy once and for all, and this "Beast" will never to reappear again (Rev 17,8). This confirms what Jesus said to his apostles about the end of times: "When you will see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then realize that its desolation is near" (Luke 21,20). Let us also realize that it's the time of the Return of Jesus.

In the parable of the fig tree, Jesus exhorts us to recognize this historical period in which the Beast reappears, and which precedes the Return of Jesus:

"Take the fig tree as a parable: as soon as its twigs grow supple and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. So with you, when you see all these things (the Beast in Palestine), know that He (the Son of Man: Jesus) is near, right at the gates" (Mt.24,32-33). It is then imperative! We must discover the identity of the Beast to realize that the Time of Jesus's Return has come.

The Apocalypse : a Book of Judgment [Return]

The Book of Revelation is a Book of judgment : It condemns the Beast and its allies (14,9-11), but gives spiritual life those who fight against it :

"Then I saw a great white throne and the One who was sitting on it... The Books (of the Bible) lay open ! Then another Book (Apocalypse) was opened which is the Book of Life, and the dead were judged from what was written in the Books" (20,11-12).

"The dead" represent the humanity drowned in deadly ignorance. They are not the souls of those who left this earth. All those who, here on earth, listen to the Message of this Open Book and practice it come back to the spiritual Life : "Blessed are those who read and those who listen to this prophesy if they treasure its contents…" (1,3). In the past, Jesus held the same language : "The hour is coming - indeed it is already here - when the dead will hear the Voice of the Son of God, and all who hear it will live" (John 5,25). It is obvious that Jesus means coming back to the spiritual Life. This is the "first Resurrection" spoken of in Revelation 20,5. The "small Open Book" gives this Life to all those who listen to It, those who "have ears to listen to what the Spirit is saying" to all men (Rev 3,22).

This "other Book", to be opened after the first ones, is the Apocalypse. It was "sealed with seven seals in the hand of the One (God) sitting on the Throne" (Ap.5,1). It is open to our minds after the other Books of the Bible because it has been the last one to be understood. Today, as He had already done in the past, Jesus returns to His new Apostles in order to "open their minds to understand the Scriptures", specifically the Apocalypse (Luke 24,45).

We must notice that "The One sitting on the great white throne" in chap 20,11 doesn't hold the sealed Book (or scroll) he was holding in his right hand in chapter 5,1. This is because "The Lamb came forward to take the Book from the right hand of the One sitting on the throne" (Ap.5,7) to give it to the "Angel... who holds in his hand a small Book open" (Ap.10,2). This Book is, again, the Apocalypse, small in volume but huge in Divine Wisdom.

Since the opening of this "Small Book", the judgment of the world has started. Those who join the Beast, the Antichrist, be they Christians, oppose themselves to Jesus-Christ. On the contrary, those whose fight it, be they pagans, join the army of Christ. The Divine Judgment occurs by the triumph of Jesus and his servants and the final defeat of the Beast and its allies : "These ten horns are ten kings…They are all of one mind in putting their strength and their powers at the disposal of the Beast, and they will go to war against the Lamb…but He will defeat them, He and his followers, the called, the chosen the trustworthy…(17,12-14)…Then I saw the Beast, with all the kings of the world and their armies, gathered to fight the Rider (Jesus) and his army. But the Beast was captured together with the false prophet who had worked miracles on the Beast's behalf,....These two were hurled alive into the fiery lake of burning sulphur" (Ap.19,19-21).

We notice, therefor, that two parties oppose one another: The Antichrist against the Christ.

The allies of the first party are : the Dragon, the Beast, the Ten Kings and their armies.

The second party is composed of : The Rider, his army, the Woman, the two Witnesses, the Angel.

In the following chapter, details are given on each of these protagonists.

CHAPTER IV

SUMMARY OF THE STORY [Return]

The story told in the second part of the Apocalypse is presented symbolically and in an untidy manner, such that it could only be understood when the Key of its understanding is given.

Here are the protagonists and a summary of the story :

4,1 The protagonists allied to the Antichrist [Return]

A- Satan

When Jesus first came He chained the devil :

"Now sentence is being passed on this world ; now the prince of this world (Satan) is to be driven out", Jesus said (John 12,31).

The Apocalypse predicted the liberation of the devil after one thousand symbolic years :

"I saw an Angel (Jesus) come down from Heaven with the key of the Abyss.. .He overpowered the Dragon, Satan, and chained him up for a thousand years. . At the end of that time he must be released. .When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to lead astray all the nations, Gog and Magog, and mobilise them for war…They came swarming over the entire country and beseiged the camp of saints, which is the beloved City" (20,1-9).

The devil, after having been chained by the Christ, is liberated from the Abyss by the Antichrist, the Beast, whose symbol is the Star (of David):

"The fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from Heaven onto earth (the fallen Beast). He was given the key of the Abyss. . When he unlocked the shaft of the Abyss, smoke rose out of the Abyss (Satan liberated) like the smoke of a huge furnace so that the sun and the sky were darkened. ." (9,1-2).

This darkness is spiritual : the Sun of Truth and Justice disappears when Satan is spread on earth. This is the reason for which Jesus said that the sun will become dark (Mat24,29/ Rev 6,12).The complicity between Satan and the Beast is complete…..Jesus Christ had rejected any collaboration with Satan. The Antichrist, on the contrary, searched for it. The satanic clan, thus formed , is sustained by the second Beast with the aim of implanting the Beast in Palestine to found a Zionist kingdom. This is against the explicite will of God (see 1 Samuel 8 and our text "The Drama of Jesus").,upon its horns ten crowns

B- The Beast

1- A "Beast" existed in the past. It existed no more in 95 A.D. when the Apocalypse was written. John sees it returning in the future for a short time, but to disappear forever:

"I saw a Beast emerge from the sea: it had seven heads and ten horns... (13,1)... Let the one who has umderstanding count the number of the Beast : for it is the number of a man ; and his number is 666… (13,18)… This Beast was (in the past, before 95 A.D.) and is no more (in 95 A.D.) it is yet to come from the Abyss, but only to go to its destruction (17,8). "

Israel is the only State which existed in the past (before 95 A.D.) as a kingdom. It did not existin the year 95 A.D., having been destroyed by Titus in 70 A.D.

Under the king Solomon, this Kingdom had reached the apex of its glory to become the famous Solomonian Empire: "The weight of gold alone which arrived to Solomon yearly was 666 talents of Gold, not counting what arrived from merchants...etc..." (1 King 10,14 / 2 Chr.9,13). To discover the identy of the Beast, we must compare its "number" (666) to the weight of gold (666 talents = about 17 tonnes) received by Solomon, because the Beast dreams of re-establishing the Solomonian Empire, the "Great Israel", the symbol of which becomes the number "666". One must notice that the Beast's number is "a number of a man" (13,18), which means that this Beast is the symbol of human beings.

In 587 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar put an end, a first time, to the Jewish kingdom. This Kingdom was then re-established by the Romans in 37 B.C., whith Herode the Great as king. Jesus predicted the destruction of this second Israeli kingdom when "His disciples came to Him to draw his attention to the buildings of the Temple. He replied: You see all these? In truth I tell you, not a single stone here will be left upon another : everything will be destroyed" (Mt.24,1-2). Rome, who had re-established the kingdom in Israel, put an end to it a second time a hundred years later. By destroying Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. Titus, the Roman General, didn't know that he was accomplishing Jesus's prophecy. The Apocalypse announces the return of the Beast, a third time, but only to go to perdition forever: "It will never be seen again" (18,21).

The power of the Beast

During the period of its third return, The Beast appears in the world with great power confered to it by "the Dragon" (Satan) and its powerful allie "the second Beast" (13,11) :

"The Dragon gave it his power, his throne and an immense empire" (13,2).

We must notice that it's Satan (not God) who supports the Beast, and that it's he, not God, who gathers its subjects from "the four quarters of the earth" in Palestine (Ap.20,7-8).

The second Beast also gives its power to the First Beast :

"Then I saw another Beast coming up out of the earth…and he exercises all the power of the first Beast before him…" (13,11-17).

The "wound" of the Beast

The Beast was fatally wounded but its deadly wound had healed:

"One of its heads seemed to have had a fatal wound, but its deadly wound had healed" (13,3).

This "deadly wound" refers to Israel's past destruction, as well as to Hitler's crime. The prophet Jeremia had used this expression when Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem : "let my eyes shed tears, night and day, unceasingly, since the daughter of my people (Jerusalem) has sustained a fearsome wound " (Jer 14,17).

The Beast healed from its fatal wound. It reappears powerful and glorious, well supported by its allies : the "Dragon" and the "second Beast". The whole world admires Israel's "resurrection".

The Beast's power of seduction

The whole world admires the Beast who reappears, healed from its fatal wound, with such glory and power. Everybody declares that none is capable of fighting against it:

"The whole world marvelled and followed the Beast... They prostrated themselves in front of the Beast, saying: `Who can compare with the Beast? Who can fight against it ? (13.3-4)...And the people of the world, whose names have not been written since the benning of the world in the Book of Life, will be marvelled when they see how the Beast was (once in the past), and is no more (alive in 95 A.D.) …" ( 17,8)…and here it is gloriously back

No one dares, in fact, to be able to defeat Israel. The great power of this small nation is multiple (military, social, medias, finances, international lobbies... etc... ). This gives it an international power which intimidates or paralyses the majority of peoples. Willingly or not, the world follows the Israeli policy. Even the Vatican dares not oppose it, nor even witness for Jesus as the Messiah in front of Israel's power. No one expects, today, the tragical outcome of Israel prophesied by the Apocalypse.

Duration and fall of the Beast

The Beast is given a period of triumph symbolised by 42 months. It will occupy Palestine, up to the heart of Jerusalem, before disappearing suddenly :

-"The pagans (the Beast's people) will trample on the Holy City (Jerusalem) for 42 months" (11,2). They are considered pagans (or gentiles) because of their refusal of Jesus.

- "When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to lead astray all the nations (the pagans or gentiles named above) in the four quarters of the earth - Gog and Magog (symbol of the pagans) - and mobilise them for war (not for peace : shalom)… They came swarming over the entire country (Jewish settlements) and besieged the camp of the saints, the beloved City (Jerusalem). But a fire rained down on them from heaven and consumed them" (20,7-9).

The Zionist Jews (false Jews according to Rev 2,9/ 3,9), inspired by Satan, not by God, came swarming in Palestine from the four quarters of the world. They rushed there led astray by the myth of the "Promised Land". They settled there, by making war, not by peaceful ways. They occupied the entire country, even up to Jerusalem which they proclame as capital of Israel. John foresaw the absolute and final destruction of Israel by a symbolical fire which "rained down on them from heaven".

C- The Second Beast (The Ten Kings)

After the first Beast, John saw "another Beast" at its service, establishing its empire by imposing it to all nations, by all means. This second Beast is also called "the False Prophet" (19,20) because it speaks in favour of the first Beast and prophesies falsly its success. It is also symbolized by the "ten horns" upon the heads of the first Beast and by the "ten kings" at its service.

- "Then I saw another Beast... it made all the power of the first Beast, making the world worship the first Beast whose deadly injury had healed... and anyone who refused to worship the image of the Beast was put to death... and no one could buy or sell anything unless he is branded by the name of the Beast" (13,11-17).

- "The ten horns are ten kings who have not yet been given their royal power, but will have royal authority with the Beast. They all agree to put their strength and their power at the Beast's disposal" (17,12-13).

- "…And the Beast was taken, and with him the False Prophet that performed miracles on the Beast's behalf… (19,20)…Then, the Devil, who led them astray, was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the Beast and the False prophet are…" (20,10).

Notice that the ten kings appear with the Beast. The unconditional support of the U.S.A. to Israel reveals the identity of the second Beast. The "ten kings" are the ten U.S.A. presidents since the foundation of Israel in 1948, from Truman to Clinton who is the tenth : Truman - Eisenhower - Kennedy - Johnson - Nixon - Ford - Carter - Reagan - George W.Bush Sr - Clinton.

The eleventh President is George W. Bush Jr. Nevertheless he is one of the ten and even carries the name of one of them.

Without these American "Ten Kings", Israel would have neither existed nor remained.

Finally however, the "ten kings" and the Beast itself, disappointed by their own deeds, will put an end to Israel by destroying "Jerusalem". It will be a kind of an auto-destruction :

"These ten horns and the Beast will hate the Prostitute (Jerusalem)... and burn her with fire" (17,16).

When this will take place, we'll understand clearly the means by which Jesus, the living Christ, will destroy the Antichrist.

The Prostitute is "the woman sitting on the Beast" (17,3-5). John explains that "this woman is that Great City (Jerusalem) which has authority over all the kings of the earth" (17,18). She rules the "10 kings" and, through them, the other Chiefs of states and their armies. John saw it "split into three parts" (16,19) :Jewish, Christian and Islamic, thus putting an end to the Zionist dream.

"And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus." (Revelation 17:6 )

Those who collaborate with the Beast have their names cancelled from God's Book of Eternal Life. Those who fight the Beast are the ones chosen by God:

- "All people of the world will worship the Beast, that is, everybody whose name has not been written down since the foundation of the world in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb" (13,8-9).

4.2 - The protagonists allied to the Christ [Return]

A - The Rider

The Rider in the Book of Revelation is Jesus, the "Word of God ; He makes war with justice" against the pagans :

- "I saw heaven open, and a white horse appeared ; its Rider was called 'Faithful and True' ; He judges and makes war in justice…The name written on Him was known only to Himself (Palestinian), his cloathes were dipped in blood (the blood of the Beast's victims)… and his name is 'the Word of God'. Behind Him rode the armies of Heaven on white horses (Hizb Allah)" (19,11-16).

This mysterious name known only by the Rider means that Jesus will assume a new appearance, known only by Himself and by those to whom He will reveal it (Rev 3,12). This is how He comes back "like a thief" (Rev 3,4/ 16,15/ 1Thess 5,4/ 2 Peter 3,10).

B - The Woman

In the middle of the Book of Revelation appears a radiant Woman:

- "Agreat sign appeared in heaven : a woman, robed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and twelve stars crown her head" (12,1).

This Woman is Mary, The Mother of the Messiah:

- "The Woman gave birth to a son (Jesus) who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron" (12,5).

The devil makes war against the Woman and her children :

- "When the Dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth (with the "star" of Rev 9,1), he persecuted the Woman, the Mother of the male Child…(12,13)… Then the Dragon was enraged against the Woman and went to make war on the rest of her children, who obey God's commandments and have in themselves the witness of Jesus (against the Beast)" (12,17).

This Woman, the Virgin Mary, appeared in La Salette (France) in 1846 to denounce the treason of the clergy. There she also announced the appearance of the Antichrist soon, supported by the "Ten Kings". She also predicted the manifestation of the "Beast". Mary appeared again in Fatima (Portugal) in 1917, to warn the world against the forecoming apocalyptical cataclysms. She entrusted a secret message to the Vatican, asking the Popes to reveal its contents in 1960. The Popes did not obey, and the Message remains hidden in spite of the fact that Pope John-Paul II pretended to have revealed it in summer 2 000. We have good reasons to believe that this secret is related to the manifestation of the Antichrist and his infiltration in the Vatican itself. This fact had already been revealed by Mary in La Salette, where She predicted that "Rome will lose the faith and become the siege of the Antichrist". However, one thing still remained to be revealed to the world : The identity of the Antichrist ! The Pope lacked the courage of doing so ! (Refer to our text "La Salette"). Jesus Himself unmasked this Enemy by revealing the identiy of the Beast.

The apparition of this "Woman" in our times is an evident apocalyptical sign.

C - The "Two Witnesses".

God will send his "two witnesses" to prophesy against the Beast who will triumph over them and kill them. People will rejoice and congratulate themselves for that:

"I shall send my two witnesses to prophesy (against the Beast and its allies)... They have the power to lock up the sky so that no rain falls during their mission. They also have the power to turn water into blood and power to strike the world with a thousand plagues... The Beast that comes out of the Abyss will make war against them and overcome them and kill them... The people of the world will rejoice and celebrate the event by offering gifts to each other, because these two prophets tormented them greatly" (Rev 11,3-10).

Accused as "terrorists", the two witnesses are attacked by the entire world. These witnesses are two peoples: The Palestinians and the Lebanese, especially from south Lebanon, who fight against the Beast, not those who collaborate and submit to it. These two categories of men are mentioned elsewhere in the Apocalypse : St.John saw "the souls of those (Palestinians, the 1st Witness) who were killed because of the word of God, for witnessing to it (by witnessing against the Beast). They shouted to God in a loud voice (with all their hearts) : "How much longer, O Lord Holy and True, will you wait before you judge and avenge our blood...?". God answers by telling them to "be patient a little longer, until their fellow servants and their brothers (the Lebanese, the 2nd Witness) should be killed as they had been" (6.9-11).

These two witnesses have the power "to lock the sky so that no rain falls during their mission. They also have power to turn water into blood and power to strike the world with a thousand plagues..." (11,6). These symbolical verses mean that the two witnesses have the power to stop, by military action, any "peace process" done at their disadvantage (which is a "false peace" as the Holy Virgin said at La Salette). This is the meaning of the power they have to "lock the sky" and to prevent the rain from falling, "sky" and "rain" being symbols of peace and prosperity. The "power to change water (of baptism) into blood" means that their blood which sheds by fighting against the Beast is a testimony for Jesus and, as such, is worth a baptism by blood, not by water (baptism of Fatima). God even values their sacrifice to the point of estimating that they are "put to death", crucified like Jesus: "The Beast which comes out of the Abyss will make war on them and overcome them and kill them... there (in Jerusalem) where their Lord (Jesus) was also crucified" (11,7-8). This baptism by blood makes them disciples of Jesus, since He is their Lord.

D - The "Angel" of the Apocalypse

This "Angel" sent from Heaven is a man, as this has been already explained in chapter one

When the Beast appeared, Jesus revealed the apocalyptical mystery to his "Angel". He then sends him with the "Small Book Open" (10,1-2) to explain its contents : "Do not keep secret the prophecies in this Book, because the Time is near" (22,10).

One characteristic of this messenger is that he comes from the East. He is therefor an Oriental man. In fact, John saw him coming from the East of the island of Patmos :

- "Then I saw another angel rising from the East, having the Seal of the living God…" (7,2).

It is from the East, from Lebanon, where the Messiah revealed the Mystery of the Apocalypse, that this man is sent to explain to the whole world the contents of the "Small Book".

The "Seal of the Living God" is the Small Book itself. Those who believe its Message are marked by the Seal of God and are thus chosen by Him. This selection of God's chosen ones is done before the great universal cataclysm (third nuclear world war) :

- "…He (the Angel) called in a powerful voice to the four angels : '…Wait before you do any damage on land or at sea or to the treas until we have put the Seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God" (7,3).

Jesus had already warned against this frightful day which precedes His Return and which will change the face of the whole world :

- "…on earth nations will be in distress…man fainting away with terror and fear at what menaces the world (the nuclear weapons threaten the whole world)… and then they will see the Son of Man (Jesus) coming in a cloud with Power and great Glory" (Luke 21,25-27).

Jesus, after proclaiming all these disasters, promptly reassured his disciples, those marked by the divine Seal:

- "When these things begin to take place, stand erect, hold your head high, because your liberation is near at hand". (Luke 21,28)

- "When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to lead astray all the nations in the four quarters of the earth (the Zionist Jews: false Jews according to Ap.2,9 / 3,9) to gather them for war (not for peace: shalom)... They came swarming over the entire country (Palestine) and besieged the camp of the Saints, the Beloved City (Jerusalem). But fire came down from Heaven (from God) on them and consumed them" (20,7-9).

CHAPTER V

REASONS OF HERMETISM

5.1 - The sealed prophecy explained in due time [Return]

The Apocalypse remained hermetically secret because of many reasons. One of them, the most simple, is that the prophecies therein had not yet been accomplished. A prophecy can only be well understood after its historical accomplishments. Thus, the prophecies of the Old Testament about the Messiah's Advent were only understood in detail after Jesus came. For example, no one expected that the Messiah would be put to death by those who so eagerly waited for him, and chapter 53 of Isaiah, speaking of the Messiah put to death by his people, was incomprehensible before Jesus's crucifixion.

Likewise, the apocalyptical prophecies about the Beast were totally obscure. When it appeared, then Jesus Himself intervened to clarify the prophecies which announced it. Without this divine intervention these prophecies would have remained hermetically secret.

In the past, Jesus appeared after his Resurrection to two disciples on their way to Emmaus, "Then, starting with Moses and going through all the prophets, he explained to them the passages throughout the Scriptures that were about Himself (Luke 24,27)... He then opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them: `So it is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead" (Luke 24,45-46). Now had Jesus not appeared to explain the prophecies about Him, the minds of his disciples - and indeed our own minds too - would not have been opened to understand the Scriptures. Likewise, had Jesus not explained the Apocalypse, this "small Book" would have remained inaccessible to our minds.

About the biblical prophecies, St.Peter says:

"You must know, above all, that no prophecy of the Scriptures can be of any private interpretation. For no prophecy ever came from human initiative; but. moved by the Holy Spirit, men spoke on behalf of God" (2 Peter1,20-21).

We stress upon the fact that the apocalyptical explanation given here is not a "private interpretation", but a divine revelation made by Jesus Himself. The Apocalypse was still obscure before May 13th, 1970, because men had tried to explain it, by their personal initiative. They were not sent by God.

Two reasons kept the secret of the Apocalypse hermetically closed for so long :

1 - The apocalyptical prophecies were not yet accomplished : Many, about these prophecies, have been "searching to find out what time and what circumstances meant the Spirit of Christ", as said Peter (1 Peter 1,11), but all these researches remained fruitless because neither "the time" nor "the circumstances" were yet fulfilled. The apocalyptical time and circumstances were evident in the world only since 1948, when the Beast appeared. Then the Christ appeared, on May 13th, 1970, to explain them by opening the "Small Book".

2 - The text presents the apocalyptical story in a particularly complicated manner. This garantees its perfect secrecy, even after the Beast's return. If Jesus had not given "the Key", this Book would have remained secret because of the three following factors which hide the message:

- The entanglement between events and protagonists.

- The different repetitions of the same story.

- The different symbols for a same reality.

5.2 - The entanglement [Return]

The events and the protagonists are entangled, mixed up, and do not appear in an organized manner. The reader must not expect a logical succession in the events and their protagonists. The entanglement is such that one feels lost. The Beast, for example, is mentioned in chapter 11,7 shortly and swiftly, without previous presentation, as if the reader were supposed to know all about it, which is not the case. Thus, it passes completely unnoticed. A long mention is then made of it again in chapters 13 and 17, where many details are given of it, pointing out its ferocious character, its preexistence, its disappearance, and, finally, its reappearence with strength in a vaguely, symbollically indicated place, before it disappears forever. But again, to understand all this, one must have "the Key". It's because of the explanation given by Jesus that one can - with patience - gather the pieces of the apocalyptical "puzzle" together, each piece in its proper place. Without this "Key", one gets lost in the confusing labyrinth of this Holy Book.

5.3 - The different repetitions [Return]

One same event is repeated many times, but differently each time. Such was the case of the two dreams of the Pharaoh interpreted by Joseph : The dream of the "seven cows" and the one of the "seven ears of corn". Both dreams had the same meaning and announced seven years of famine following seven years of good harvest. Joseph explained to Pharaoh that "the reason why he had the same dream twice is that the event is already determined by God, and that God is eager to bring it about" (Genesis 41,17-32).

In the Apocalypse, likewise, if there is repetition, this means that God has inexorably decided to act against the Beast, hence the various repetitions of the story of its return and of its destruction.

- A first presentation of the events runs from chapter 4 to chapter 8,1: The Lord is on his Throne to judge humanity by a Book which He holds closed (sealed with 7 seals) in his hand. In chapter 5, the Lamb (Jesus) comes forward to take the Book (5,7), and in chapter 6, He breaks the seals, one after the other. Four horses (they also represents the Beast) appear with their riders to kill people by war and famine (6,1-8). Two categories of people are killed by theses riders because they witnessed for the Word of God agains the Beast (6,9-11). Finally, God answers the prayers of the Beast's victims by expressing his anger against the Beast (6,12-17). After the fall of the Beast, a new era will start in the world (21 & 22).

- A second presentation of the same events follows immediately under different symbols. It goes from chapter 8,2 up to the end of chapter 9. Here the seven seals of the Book are replaced by seven trumpets held by seven angels.

Between this second presentation and the third that follows it, appear the protagonists of the story, in mixed up symbols, from chapter 10 to chapter 15,4 : The Angel, the two Witnesses, the Dragon, the Woman, the Beast, the other Beast, the Chosen Ones.

- A third presentation of these events is repeated from chapter 15,5 up to the end of chapter 16. The symbolism still differs from the previous ones : There are seven angels with seven cups filled with God's anger.

The three different exposures tell the same story: every seal that is broken by the Lamb, every trumpet that is blown and every cup that is emptied, are but different expressions of the same events repeated under different symbols.

5.4 - The different symbols [Return]

The same protagonists are presented under different symbols :

The Beast of chapters 13 and 17 is also represented by :

- The four devastating horses (6,1-7)

- The "pagans" (11,1)

- "Babylone the Great" (18,2)

- The "nations (pagans) of the four quarters of the earth: Gog and Magog" (20,7)

- The most difficult symbols to understand - this needs attention - are in chapter 17,9-11:

The "seven heads (of the Beast) are seven hills" on which the great prostitute is sitting (Jerusalem is upon seven hills : Mount Zion, Mount Moreah etc…17,9). They are also "seven kings" (17,10; because they represent the entire past history of Israel as a kingdom : the 5 that have already gone represent the Beast that "was"; the one still existing represents the Jews who were striving secretly to re-establish the Israeli kingdom under the Roman Empire - Paul names this "the mystery of iniquity already at work": see 2 Thess 2,7 - The seventh "who is yet to come, and must stay for a short while" represents the Beast returning in the world "for a short while and which, at the same time, is the eighth, yet it is one of the seven". Israel, returning, but not as a kingdom, is "the eighth" because it represents those "seven kings" of Israel who have past away. The Israelis still hope to restaure the Kingdom of David and the Temple of Solomon. They still keep on proclaiming Jerusalem as King David's City.

This variety of symbols applies also to the numbers : the "42 months" (11,2) are also the "1260 days" (11,3 / 12,6), and the "time, and two times and half a time" (12,14).

More explanation is given in the following chapter.

CHAPTER VI

EXPLANATION OF NUMBERS AND SYMBOLS [Return]

6.1 - The number "666"

666 talents of gold

We already saw that this number refers to the 666 talents of gold that Solomon perceived annually from the neighboring countries (1 King 10,10 / 2 Chr.9,13). Israel dreams today of such an annual income which equals about 17,000 kgs of gold (17 tonnes !). Such wealth, pouring on Israel from the Arabs (oil wells etc…) would not only sustain considerably Israel's economy, but would also maintain Israel's total control, morally and economically upon the Arabic countries ... and upon the whole world. The number 666 symbolizes the Zionist ambitions, the Great Israel.

Symbol of failure

The number 6 is the symbol of failure. It's the fate of the star with 6 branches, symbol of Israel.. Prophetically, the number 6 is the symbol of evil and imperfection, in contrast with the 7, which is the symbol of Good and perfection. When Jesus asks to forgive "7 times or 77 times" (Mat 18,21), it should be understood that forgivness must be fully granted to those who ask for it sincerely, not only 7 times in number, but quite beyond this, up to the symbolism of the number 7, which means to forgive completely with all one's heart. Likewise, the "7 seals" which lock the Book mean that its secret is perfectly garded. The "7 horns of the Lamb" indicate that He is Almighty, and his "7 eyes" express his perfect insight of the souls (Rev 5,6).

In the apocalyptical context, the number 6, one degree below 7, is therefor the symbol of failure, of an aborted plan which ends up in eternal torment, instead of leading to the everlasting Rest of the "7th Day". God created the universe in 6 days, but "He rested on the Seventh day" (Gen 2,2). The one who is placed under the "7" enters in God's Rest. St.Paul says that the "Seventh Day's rest" is reserved to Jesus's disciples. He therefor invites the Jews to believe in Jesus : "Let us therefor fear of arriving too late (in God's Rest)... For there still is a seventh day's rest reserved for God's people (Jesus disciples)... Let us, then, try hard to enter into this rest" (Heb 4,1-11). Israel and its allies, being marked by the "6", will not be introduced in this eternal Rest of the soul, which is reserved to those who fight the Beast

Jesus himself invites everybody to enter in this Rest: "Come to Me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest... Take my yoke upon you... and you will find rest for your souls" (Mat 11,28-29). We pray that the Jews respond to Jesus's invitation. They will then understand that the Zionist plan does not lead to the peace and security they are searching for, and that the one and only Rest lies in Jesus.

Those who refuse to go to Jesus are doomed to eternal exhaustion; they are marked by the "6" since they will never reach the seventh day's rest. This is why God says in the Apocalypse: " The

smoke of their torment rises forever and ever. They have no rest, night nor day, those who worship the Beast" (14,11).

As for those who struggle against the Beast, they are the ones who, perhaps without knowing it, practice "the endurance of the saints and keep the commandments of God and the faith in Jesus" (14,12). They will be introduced in God's rest forever:

"Blessed are those who die in the Lord! Blessed indeed, says the Spirit. Now they can rest for ever from their labours, for their deeds follow them" (14,13).

The Alliance between the three protagonists of evil

The triple repetition of the 6 (666) represents the three allied evil protagonists: "the Dragon", "the Beast", and "the second Beast". These three allies, each symbolically marked by the"6", are united in one number: 666, because these three allies work together to establish the empire of the first Beast. On one hand, "the Dragon gave the Beast his power, his throne and an immense empire" (13,2), and on the other, the second Beast is also entirely "at the service of the first Beast, and establishes its authority and influence everywhere" (13,11-12), with its "ten kings, who all agree to give to the Beast their power and authority" (17,12-13). This number represents well the three evil allied protagonists.

The second Beast is also called "the false prophet" (Ap.19,20 / 20,10) because it prophesies the victory of the Beast, which is false! The true prophecy being that "the Beast goes to its destruction" (Ap.17,8).

The newspapers of the world - and particularly of the Middle East - inform us continually that the chiefs of the two Beasts keep traveling to "gather the kings of the whole world" - and paricularly the Arab kings - to convince them to join the American pro-Israeli commitment, imposing upon them peace with Israel. This "false peace" will end up by the predicted war symbolically called "Armageddon".

St.John saw these three allies as "three foul spirits - looking like frogs, and in fact are demon spirits … going out to all the kings of the world to gather them for the war of the Great Day of God the Almighty... They will gather the kings together at the place called - in Hebrew - Armegiddon" (Rev 16,13). Notice that this name is in Hebrew (Rev 16,16). In this language "Ar-Megiddon" means "Mountain of Megiddo" (Ar, in Hebrew, means mountain). Megiddo, near Haifa, is the place where the Israeli troops were totally defeated by the Egyptian troops in 609 B.C. (2 Kings 23, 28-30/ 2 Chron 35,19-25). There, in Megiddo, the Pharaoh Necho killed the king Josiah in whom the Israelis had put all their hopes. This was the beginning of the fall of Israel. Indeed, about twenty years later, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, invaded Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple of Solomon, putting an end, for the first time, to the Israeli kingdom. Since then, Megiddo became the symbol of defeat and extermination of Israel. God reserves a new Megiddo, as big as a mountain (ar), to the Beast…and its allies.

6.2 - The "42" months [Return]

"Power was given unto the Beast for 42 months" (Ap.13,5), "the pagans (the Beast) will trample the Holy City (Jerusalem) for 42 months" (Ap.11,2). This means that the Beast and the pagans (or gentiles) are the same. But God will send his "two witnesses to prophesy (against them) for 1260 days" (Ap.11,3). This means that God's two witnesses will prophesy against the Beast during the period in which it occupies Jerusalem, because 42 months equal 1260 days (42 x 30).

During this same period, the "Woman", symbol of the apocalyptical apostles, escapes "away from the Serpent into the desert, where she is to be nourished (by the Apocalyptical Message: Rev 10,9-10) for a time, and (two) times and half a time (three times and a half)" (12,14). These three times and a half are the "42 months", or "1260 days", equal to "three years and a half". This same period is also symbolized by "three days and a half" (11,9), and represents the period of tribulation of God's two Witnesses whose "corpses are exposed to be stared at by people of every race, tribe, language and nation for three and a half days". Televisions have shown to the whole world the corpses of the Palestinians and Lebanese victims of Israel, slaughtered, emprisoned, expelled from their demolished homes and territories to be replaced by Jewish settlements.

Since the prophet Daniel, the period of "three times and half a time" has become the symbol of periods of injustice and persecution (see Daniel 7,25).

This period, presented differently each time, misleads the reader and contributes in making it impossible for anyone to understand the apocalyptical contents. The explanation is as follows: "The Beast must occupy Palestine for "42 months". During this time, which equals 1260 days, God's Two Witnesses oppose it. In the meantime, the Apostles of the Apocalypse, the children of the "Woman", are chosen and isolated, as if in "a desert", to "be nourished" with the Book of the Apocalypse until they assimilate its Message (12,14). They are invited to take this Book from the Angel's hand who holds it open, and to "eat it" in order to be able to "prophesy AGAIN", with the Two Witnesses, "against many peoples and nations, and languages, and kings" allied to the Beast (10,8-10).

6.3 - The "horns" [Return]

The horns symbolize power. Satan appears in the Apocalypse under the shape of a "red (furious) Dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, a crown over each head (12,3). The Beast also has "ten horns and seven heads and upon its horns ten crowns, and upon its heads words of blasphemy" (13,1).

An important detail passes unnoticed : the Beast has "seven heads and ten horns" with crowns on "its ten horns", because the power belongs to the "ten kings", not to the Beast. As for the Dragon, he bears his crowns on "his heads", being the source of his power. He is the crowned king of Evil.

6.4 - The four horses [Return]

The four horses in chapter 6,1-7 are all one and the same : They represent "the Beast". They oppose the "4 Living Creatures" around God's throne (4,6-8) : the 4 Evangelists. Each Evangelist allows one of the four horses "to come" forward in the world with its rider. The 4 Gospels give life to the world, whereas the power given to these 4 riders is an evil one for they "kill by war, by famine, by plague and through wild beasts" (6.8) : The two Beasts of the Apocalypse.

6.5 - The Apocalyptical weapons [Return]

St.John saw three types of weapons which did not exist in his time: The airplanes, the bombs and the tanks. These apocalyptical weapons are the Beast's strength.

The "locusts" (planes and helicopters)

John saw strange "locusts" appearing for war. They are the airplanes and helicopters:

"... Out of the smoke locusts came out upon the earth... These locusts looked like horses armoured for war (they are war weapons)... their faces looked human (they are conducted by men)... Their chests are of iron (the plane's metallic body), the sound of their wings is like a great charge of battle (the noise of the engines placed in the planes' wings)" (9,3-11).

The air battles are an utterly new dimension of war and indicate that we are in the apocalyptical times. War planes and helicopters are Israel's major military power, given to it by the U.S.A.

The "great hail" (modern bombs)

The modern frightful bombs are represented by the "great hail", never seen in the world, since each stone weighs one talent (about 17 kgs, the size of modern bombs) causing a dreadful disaster:

"Great hailstones weighing a talent each, fell from the sky on the people... it was the most terrible plague" (16,21).

This great hail appears together with the war "locusts".Modern Bombs (Napalm and fragmentation bombs notably) are apocalyptical weapons used daily by both Beasts and their allies against those who resist them. This plague was announced by the prophecies to signal the apocalyptical times.

The "horses" (the tanks)

John said:

"Thus I saw, in my vision, the horses (tanks) and their riders: They had breastplates of fire, hyacynth and sulphur. The horses had lion heads, and fire, smoke and sulphur were thrown from their mouths (canons and machine guns on tanks)" (9,17).

The prophecies about the apocalyptical weapons couldn't be understood before they appeared, such arsenal being unthinkable at St.John's time, and, indeed up to the dawn of the XXth century.

6.6 -The geographical place [Return]

Palestine is the principal center of the apocalyptical events. Two texts draw our attention toward this country - specially towards Jerusalem, the "Holy City" - where the Beast is due to appear :

- "The pagans will trample the Holy City for 42 months" (11,2).

- "Satan gathers the pagans from the four corners of the earth for war... They came over the entire Country (Palestine, where the israeli settlements cover the whole country), and besieged the Camp of the Saints, the Beloved City (Jerusalem)" (20,7-9).

- The country where Satan gathers his men is recognizable by "the Beloved City" or "Holy City".

6.7 - The characterisics of the Beast [Return]

1 - It existed in the past, had disappeared and will reappear again.

2 - It reappears in Palestine with power and seems invincible.

3 - It had a fatal wound from which it healed.

4 - It has a great international power.

5 - It is the symbol of a group of men.

6 - A powerful nation backs it up and imposes it to the world.

7 - It appears with airplanes, bombs and tanks.

8 - It will cause shedding of much innocent blood.

9 - It claims that Jesus is not the Christ.

10 - It will be destroyed in the Armagiddon war.

The presence, since 1948, in Palestine, of the State of Israel backed up by U.S.A., a State formed by the Jews who came swarming in it from "the four corners of the earth" to settle on the whole extent of the Country, proclaiming Jerusalem as Capital, is a sign that the apocalyptical time has come.

6.8 - The Restoration : A New Heaven and a New Earth [Return]

God will inaugurate a new era in the world after the fall of the Beast. John saw "a New Heaven and a new Earth" (21,1). He added : "Then the One sitting on the Throne said : Behold, I make all things new" (21,5). This New Universe had already been announced by St Peter : "What we are waiting for, relying on His promises, is the New Heavens and the New Earth, where justice will dwell" (2 Peter 3,13). (See text "The Universal Restoration").

These are the events related in the Book of Revelation. I have tried to explain them simply and methodically. They were not revealed in this manner, because God intended to keep the Message secret (10,4) until the fulfilment of the prophecies and the reapparition of the Beast ; He will then send his messenger to reveal everything : "Do not keep the prophecies of this Book a secret, for the time (of Jesus's Return) is near" (22,10). This secrecy aimed at testing humanity before the Return of Jesus (Rev 3,10-11).

Jesus is now testing men's hearts : "I am the One who tests the hearts and minds", says Jesus ( 2,23). The chosen ones are those who join the side of Justice by fighting with courage and determination against the Beast, even at the cost of their own lives. They establish, by their resistance against the Antichrist, the Kingdom of God and His Messiah on earth :

"Salvation and power and empire for ever have been won by our God, and all authority for his Messiah, now that the accusor (the Beast), who accused our brothers (the two witnesses)…, has been brought down. They have triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word with which they witnessed up to death for they despised their life even up to death" (Rev 12,10-11).

The Apocalypse relates the story of the return of Israel and its final condemnation. Its fall will demonstrate the power and the glory of the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth. His Kingdom will remain this time forever on eart.

6.9 - The Kingdom of God on Earth [Return]

The seventh trumpet sounds loud to announce the Kingdom of God and Jesus on earth after the fall of the Antichrist :

"Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and voices could be heard shouting in Heaven saying : The kingdom of this world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and He shall reign for ever and ever" (11,15).

The divine Light, after having been put off by the Dragon and the two Beasts, will shine again with splendor in the hearts of all those who are thirsty of Love and Truth. They will live with God within themselves and become the Temple of God :

"Then I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth - for the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and there was no longer any sea (death of the soul)…I will give water from the well of Life to anybody who is thirsty ; anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things ; and I will be his God and he will be my son…I saw no Temple in the City since the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are themselves its Temple…There will be no more darkness…" (Rev 21).

"Let all who are thirsty come, they may have the Water of Life, and have it free" (22,17)

Father, let your Kingdom come and your Will be done on earth as in Heaven. Amen !

"Amen ; Come , O Lord Jesus !"
